Track Title: The Creation of Man

The Creation of Man, The Scarlet Pimpernel

This is actually what initially led me to the book, and I am utterly unashamed to say that I know every line, and so do my siblings, and when we sing we affect silly accents and lots of posh gestures and flourishes, and we sing it as loudly and with as much bravado as we can.

(Also, fun fact, there were several changes made to the musical as it continued on Broadway, and one of those changes was to the lyrics of this song - the recording I’ve borrowed from the library has some significant differences, but I prefer this one utterly.)
